Framed Nautical Charts & Maps
The US Coast Survey drew these charts by hand in the 1850s–1890s: soundings in fathoms, lighthouses, sailing directions and the coast as sailors then knew it. We restore the archive's full-resolution scan, keep every sounding legible, and print it on archival matte paper — framed in black, oak or white, or on canvas. Cape Cod, Nantucket and Vineyard Sound, the Chesapeake, the Keys, Charleston, Pensacola and Mobile Bay, Puget Sound, the Golden Gate, Honolulu and the Great Lakes — Erie, Huron, Superior and the Detroit River — are all here; use the place chips below to jump to your water. Antique sea charts, coastal wall art and nautical chart prints for a lake house, a beach house, a study or the sailor who has run these waters — every lighthouse on the coast is marked and named where the survey put it. Sizes are offered only where the scan holds detail at 200 dpi or better. Each chart is available as a framed nautical map — black, oak or white solid-wood frame, ready to hang — or unframed on archival paper.
