Framed vintage prints, made from the archive's own scan
Antique framed prints usually mean a blurry copy of a copy behind glass. Ours start from the full-resolution scan held by the Library of Congress, NOAA, the US Geological Survey or a museum, restored by hand and printed on archival matte paper — then framed in solid wood in the country of delivery. Every piece is a new print, never an original, and its archive record is on the product page.

Why a framed vintage print from us
Three things that separate a framed print from a framed download
The source is the archive scan
Not a photo of a print, not an Etsy download. We take the master TIFF or JP2 the archive publishes — often 6,000 to 14,000 pixels wide — so the soundings, place names and engraver's hatching stay sharp at 24×36 in.
Sizes fit the map, not the other way round
A 1664 world map is not 8×10. Each map is offered only in proportions that keep the whole sheet — cartouche, borders and all — and only at sizes the scan carries at 200 dpi or better.
Framed where it ships from
Prints are made and framed in the country of delivery, so a framed 18×24 arrives in 2–4 days without crossing an ocean, double-boxed, with the hardware fitted.
